About Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
To further protect your firm and clients against any sensitive data theft and phishing, CCH iFirm Tracking possesses a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) mechanism.
MFA is a security measure that applies to all CCH iFirm Tracking users.
How does it work?
When a user logs into CCH iFirm Tracking from Personal Taxprep or accesses the module through the CCH iFirm sign-in page, an authentication code is sent to the user’s preferred option: Google Authentication, e-mail, or text message. To learn how to set up MFA for CCH iFirm Tracking, consult the help topic Use Multi-Factor Authentication.
When a user signs into CCH iFirm Tracking (formely known as Taxprep Dashboard) from Personal Taxprep, an authentication code is sent to the user by e-mail.
A user should enter the appropriate authentication code each time he or she signs into CCH iFirm Tracking unless the device used is defined as a trusted device. In that case, no authentication code will be required for a period of 120 days.
