Using a Grouping List Template
You can save a grouping list as a template. The information captured in the template includes the groups and sub-groups set up in the engagement, as well as the account types and account classifications for each group and sub-group. The template then can be used to replace the existing grouping list for other engagements. In addition, you can delete a grouping list template if it is no longer needed.
Note: Grouping list templates are available in subsidiary trial balances, but not in multitier consolidated engagements currently.

First, make any customizations required to your financial or tax grouping list, including adding, editing, and deleting groups and sub-groups. Then, do the following:
-
Click
on the navigation bar and select Trial Balance.
-
Click Grouping List Options.
-
Select Save as Template.
-
Select the grouping list you want to save.
-
Enter a Template ID.
-
Enter a Template Name
Note: FS and TAX are template IDs for the system-provided financial and tax grouping lists and cannot be reused.
-
Click Confirm.
