Snapshots and Report

Take a snapshot

When you notice any anomalies or interesting visualizations that you would like to log as part of your documentation or later review, you can take a snapshot of the chart along with the data.

Click on Snapshot option for any chart for a given filter, and in the panel that opens, enter a unique name and if needed, capture some comments for some text.

Note: A maximum of 50 snapshots per engagement is supported for now.

Manage Snapshots

All the snapshots that you take will be available in Snapshots tab. You can view all the snapshots taken along with their details like name, comments, chart and even the timestamp of when it was taken by clicking on Edit. You can choose to edit the name and the comments for any snapshot.

You can view the data for each snapshot by clicking on View Details. To get the snapshots in the downloaded excel report, you need to click on Add to Report for each snapshot or select all snapshots in a page using Select All. If you wish to remove from report the options are available in each snapshot card or when you click on Select all.

Tip: The INCLUDED IN REPORT pill on each snapshot card indicates if it’s already part of the report.

Report

By clicking on Generate Report, you will generate an excel spreadsheet with all the snapshots that are added to the report in the Snapshots tab. The report generation may take up to 2 minutes depending on the number of snapshots and the number of rows of data.

Once generated, the report will be available for download for the next 24 hours. When downloaded, you can view each snapshot as an individual sheet in the excel capturing apart from the snapshot of the chart, the table data, it also includes snapshot information like name, chart, filters, comments, user who took the snapshot and the timestamp.

Refer to Last generated Date-Time below the Download Report button to know when the report was generated. Any changes to snapshots after the report generation will not be included in the report available for download.

Note: For now, the timestamp displayed in the application is displayed based on your time-zone while timestamp in Report is displayed based on UTC +5:30 timestamp. This will also be based on local time in the upcoming release.
