Signing Off on a Leadsheet
You can sign off on a workpaper, leadsheet, or report as a preparer, as a reviewer, or as a second reviewer. Up to two people can sign off in each of those roles.
Notes:
-
Currently, all users can provide a sign off. No permissions are required to use this feature.
-
The sign-off feature is not yet available for consolidated engagements.
-
You do not have to sign off as a preparer before a reviewer can sign off. Also, the first reviewer does not need to sign off before the second reviewer can sign off.
-
The preparer must sign off before a reviewer can sign off. However, the first and second reviewer can sign off in any order.
After sign-off, the initials of the person who signed off displays in the column for their sign-off role on the Engagement View. The date the sign-off was given displays beneath the initials. Hover the mouse pointer over the sign-off initials to view the user name of the person who signed off.
Note: The name that displays is the name entered in the Report Name field in the staff member's profile in Users.
Sign-offs made by one user are immediately visible to other users. It is not necessary to refresh the page to update the sign-off status.
Note: Signing off on a leadsheet does not lock the leadsheet. If, after sign-off, there are changes to the trial balance that affect a leadsheet, the leadsheet is updated and the sign-offs remain in place.
