Using Summary Views

Summary Views allow you to view all the notes and Sign-offs in an engagement in one location. The Summary Views page is organized into two sections – Notes Summary and Sign-off Summary.

On Notes Summary you can view note content across all workpapers, reports, leadsheets, and Knowledge Coach forms; view and modify the note status; and view and add replies to a note. The document type being viewed can be changed by using the drop-down menu on the top right of the grid. The list is sorted by default with the most recent note appearing first. If the same document has more than one note, each note appears as a separate entry. The columns on Notes Summary view can be further filtered and sorted based on the column type.

The Sign-off Summary shows you Sign-offs added by preparers and reviewers on workpapers, reports, leadsheets, and Knowledge Coach forms. The document type being viewed can be changed by using the drop-down menu on the top right of the grid. You can also Sign-off on each document type here. The list is sorted by the number of Sign-offs with documents having all three Sign-offs appearing first, followed by those having two, one, and no Sign-offs. The columns on Sign-off Summary view can be further filtered and sorted based on the column type.

To access the Summary Views page:

  1. Click the icon on the navigation bar and select Summary Views.

  2. Select which tab you would like to view – Notes or Signoffs.

Consolidated engagements have a drop-down menu next to the page title. This allows you to switch between parent and subsidiary views which will impact the information displayed on the grid.

Note: Workpapers and Knowledge Coach forms are only available on the highest parent level in a consolidated engagement.
