Adding or Removing Sign-offs
In Pro engagements you can sign off on a workpaper, leadsheet, or report as a preparer, as a reviewer, or as a second reviewer.
Note
-
The preparer must sign off before a reviewer can sign off. However, the first and second reviewer can sign off in any order.
-
You can sign off on a Knowledge Coach form either in the engagement view or when viewing the form itself.
-
Some Knowledge Coach forms also allow you to sign off on form sections. The sign-off functionality is the same as for the whole form. The only difference is that the sign-off circles are located in the relevant section of the form.
After sign-off, the name of the person who signed off displays in the column for their sign-off role on the Engagement View page. The date the sign-off was given displays beneath the staff name.
Note: The staff name comes from the Report Name fields in the staff member's profile in CCH iFirm user settings.
Sign-offs made by one user are immediately visible to other users. It is not necessary to refresh the page to update the sign-off status.
Note: Signing off on a leadsheet does not lock the leadsheet. If, after sign-off, there are changes to the trial balance that affect a leadsheet, the leadsheet is updated and the sign-offs remain in place.
