Browser functionality

Because CCH iFirm is a browser-based application, you can use familiar browser features like the back and forward buttons to navigate around it.

Additionally, you can bookmark pages you often use or add them to your Favourites list.

There are three ways to bookmark pages:

  1. Click the Bookmark (Firefox) or Favourites (IE) icon to save pages to your Most Visited (Firefox) or Favourites (IE) list.

  1. Drag the lock icon to the Bookmarks toolbar.

  1. Drag the submenu item to the Bookmarks toolbar.

Proxy server, firewall, and Internet security settings

If the Internet connection on your local network runs a proxy server, firewall, or other Internet gateway solution (such as WebMarshal), we recommend that you add your CCH iFirm Web site address to the list of exceptions. This can affect the performance of your CCH iFirm application. If you experience speed issues, then you should eliminate your proxy server, firewall, or gateway software as the possible cause.
You should add the following sites to your exceptions list:

  1. .acclipse.com
  2. Google-analytics.com

Keyboard shortcuts

Although you will mostly use your mouse to navigate around CCH iFirm, you can also use the keys listed in the table.

Shortcut Function
Enter Press as an alternative to clicking Go, Update, or Search
Tab Move between fields
CTRL+C Copy selected text
CTRL+F Find text or numbers on a page
CTRL+P Print a page
CTRL+V Paste copied text
CTRL+X Cut selected text
F5 Refresh or reload the current page from the browser cache
CTRL-F5 Force the browser to download the page again (not from the cached version)
Shift or Ctrl+navigation arrow Select all or some options in a list
