Resend Bounced E-mails

E-mail Centre - View Email Content and Resend

You can resend an e-mail that has a status of Error or Invalid. E-mails with an Error status can be resent in bulk. Once an e-mail has been resent, its status changes to Pending.

Tip: You can use the Recently Bounced E-mails widget on your CCH iFirm dashboard to see the 10 most recent e-mails with a status of Error.

Resend an e-mail

To resend an e-mail, proceed as follows:

  1. Click Settings > E-mail Centre.
  2. Click the e-mail row
  3. Click Resend.
    If you are resending an e-mail that had an invalid e-mail address, you must correct the address during the resend process. The e-mail will be resent with the same details as before (including address, content, subject). The row will have a Pending status until it is sent.
Tip: If you want to resend an Invalid status e-mail, click the icon at the far right-hand side of the row.

Resend e-mails with an Error status in bulk

To resend e-mails with an Error status in bulk, proceed as follows:

  1. Click Settings > E-mail Centre.
  2. Click the Bounced tab.
  3. Select the check boxes of the e-mails you want to resend.
  4. Click Resend.
  5. Click Yes to confirm.

Once the e-mails are resent, their statuses are changed to Pending. The e-mails will no longer appear in the Bounced tab: they will be moved to the top of the All tab.
