Rolling Forward a Project

Rolling forward a project creates a new project for a new period, rolling forward both the year-end date and project due date by one year.

Notes:

  • Projects with zero requests, or only failed and/or canceled requests cannot be rolled forward.
  • Requests that are rolled forward cannot be sent if any of the requested dates are in the future.

To roll forward a project, do the following:

  1. Navigate to the Project dashboard page by clicking Validate under the Firm Applications menu on the left side of the CCH iFirm home page.

  2. Locate the desired project.

  3. Click in the Actions column for the desired project, then select Roll Forward.

  4. Name the new project.

  5. Note: The project name must be unique to the client.

  6. Click Next.

  7. Review each data request that is being rolled forward to the new project. You may add or delete requests.

  8. Click Send Requests after the desired changes have been made.

  9. Note: The requests in the rolled forward project may also be saved as a draft if you are not ready to send the requests. To do so, click Save and enter a name for the draft. The requests will be saved in the newly created project.
