Particularities

If there was an unsuccessored pool amount carryforward transferred from a person due to amalgamation under section 20(10) or the wind-up of a wholly-owned subsidiary under section 20(11) during this taxation year, then this section must be completed.

If an amount is entered on line 031, then there must be a date of transfer of the carryforward and this date must fall within the corporation taxation year to which this return relates.

The amount on line 043 must only include unsuccessored pool amounts. Previously line 025 of Alberta Schedule 5 included both successored and unsuccessored pool amounts; therefore, if using a carryforward amount from this schedule, ensure that only the portion related to unsuccessored pools is included.

Complete this section if you answered “Yes” to line 200. If not, do not complete this section.
Second Successored Pool Information

The amount on line 107 must equal the first successored pool amount for a corporation where all or substantially all of the Canadian resource properties are acquired or due to change in control. The amount on line 107 must have previously been in the first successored pool (line 133 from the predecessor’s previous taxation year).
