AT1 Schedule 29, Listing of Innovation Employment Grant Projects Carried out in Alberta
When the Alberta Innovation Employment Grant (IEG) is claimed on the AT1 Schedule 29 (Jump Code: A29) for scientific research and experimental development (SR&ED) incurred in Alberta after December 31, 2020, is claimed, you must complete the AT1 Schedule 29 LISTING.

You must detail the qualified expenditures incurred in the taxation year in Alberta after December 31, 2020, and when the taxation year straddles January 1, 2021, the SR&ED expenditures incurred before January 1, 2021, for each third party identified on Form T1263 (Jump Code: 661 (T1263)). For all of the third parties identified, the total of the amounts claimed should correspond to the portion of the federal amount on line 559 for expenditures incurred in Alberta before claiming the IEG.
In Form T1263, check boxes allow you to update the name of the third party (line 701) to Form AT1 Schedule 29 LISTING, which you must complete. If the check box After December 31, 2020, and before January 1, 2021 is selected, two lines will be created in the form and will have to be completed.
Moreover, when expenditures were incurred in more than one jurisdiction, those expenditures must be allocated based on each of the jurisdictions concerned for each third party identified on Form T1263.

In Form T661 Part 2, check boxes allow you to update the title (line 200) and the code (line 206) of the project to the AT1 Schedule 29 LISTING, which you must complete. If the check box After December 31, 2020, and before January 1, 2021 is selected, two lines will be created in the form and will have to be completed.
Moreover, when expenditures were incurred in more than one jurisdiction, those expenditures must be allocated based on each of the affected jurisdictions for each of the projects for which Form T661 Part 2 has been completed.
Inactive project
When a project is inactive, the copy of the form will be considered as not applicable and the information relating to the project concerned will not be transmitted with the tax return.
