Schedule 2, Charitable Donations and Gifts
Increase in the eligible amount of donations of food products by eligible businesses (Québec only)
If the corporation is eligible for the increase in the eligible amount of donations of food products for donations made after March 26, 2015, select the check box Donations of food products by farming businesses that give entitlement to a 50% raise. When this check box is selected, the 50% increase is applied to the amount of donation and the amount is added to the line Total charitable donations made in the current year of the Québec column.
To be eligible for the increase, the corporation must be a recognized agricultural producer and make a donation of food product to a registered charity that is either the Food Banks of Quebec or a Moisson member. Donations of food products made after March 17, 2016, by a corporation carrying on a food processing business as well as donations made after that date to a registered charity that is an Associate member also give rise to a 50% increase.
Associate members that have registered charity status are Accueil Blanche Goulet de Gaspé inc., Centre d'action bénévole Ascension Escuminac, Centre d'action bénévole La Grande Corvée, Centre communautaire Pro-Santé inc., Centre de bénévolat de Port-Cartier inc., Collectif Aliment-Terre, Comptoir alimentaire de Sept-Îles, Comptoir alimentaire L'Escale, Service alimentaire et d'aide budgétaire de Charlevoix-Est inc. and Source alimentaire Bonavignon.
