Inter vivos trusts may have to make instalment payments to avoid interest charges. The relevant calculations are done on the INST form. You should enter the tax payable figures for the preceding tax year. If the previous return was completed using Taxprep for Trusts, the roll forward program will have already completed this information. Note that the Canada Revenue Agency has had an administrative policy of not changing interest on deficient instalments.
