Editing Subsidiary Information in a Single-Tier Consolidated Engagement
You can view and edit the subsidiaries that make up the consolidated engagement.
- To view or edit the Subsidiary Setup page:
- Click the engagement name on the Engagement List page.
- Click the Subsidiary Setup button on the tool pane.
- Modify the subsidiary information as needed. You can:
- Click in the cells of the grid to edit the subsidiary names, subsidiary short name, CLIENT ID. SUB ID and percentages owned.
Notes
- Changing the subsidiary short name after creating TB Links in Excel and Word workpapers will break the links. You can use the Microsoft Excel feature to Find and Replace the old subsidiary short name in the formulas with the new subsidiary short name.
- For tax consolidations, changing the CLIENT ID.SUB ID after linking to a tax return will break the link.
- Click in the cells of the grid to edit the subsidiary names, subsidiary short name, CLIENT ID. SUB ID and percentages owned.
Click and drag the handles at the far left of a subsidiary row to change its position in the grid. Release the handle when the subsidiary is in the desired location in the grid. The order that the subsidiaries display on this page is the order they will display in the trial balance, leadsheets and drop-down lists.
- Click Add new subsidiary. Then, enter the required subsidiary information in the new row. See Adding Subsidiaries in a Single-Tier Consolidated Engagement for more information.
- Click Import in the Trial Balance column next to a subsidiary that has not been imported, and follow the normal process for importing a trial balance.
- Click the to the far right of the subsidiary row to remove it from the list. Deleting a subsidiary from the engagement will permanently remove all information for that subsidiary, including the trial balance, leadsheets, and financial statements. Deleted subsidiary information cannot be recovered. Click Yes to confirm the deletion.

Click Engagement View to save your changes.
