Using the Project Dashboard Page
The Project dashboard page, which displays when you first open CCH iFirm Validate, is your starting place for working with data requests. The page displays a grid listing all the engagements created by your firm. You can create new projects and access existing ones from this page.
- To create a new project, click New Project in the upper right corner. See Creating a Data Request Project for details.
- To open an existing project, click the project name in the list. The project's main page displays.
You can also delete a project that has no requests from this page. To delete a project, click
in the Actions column for the project, and then click Delete.
Note: If a project has requests associated with it, it cannot be deleted.
You can do any of the following to navigate the project list more efficiently:
- Sort the project list. By default, the project list is sorted by the date created, with the most recently created projects first. Click a column header to sort by that column. Click the same column again to reverse the sort order.
- Search the project list. Select the field you want to filter by in the drop-down list above the grid. Then, in the field next to the filter list, enter the text that you want to search for. The list updates automatically to show the results that match the entered text.
- Use the pagination features. Below the grid, you can change the number of projects that display per page. If your list of projects extends beyond that number, pagination controls display in the lower right beneath the grid. Click a page number to go directly to a specific page, or click the arrows to move forward or back in the list of projects.
